Beginning in 2013, all parishes who have eligible lay employees must adopt and fund a lay pension plan with Church Pension Fund in New York. While most parishes which have plans already maintain their plans with Church Pension, many do not.

The Church Pension Fund has scheduled regional forums for updating plans and educating parishes. Our diocese, which is in Province V, is scheduled for this activty in the 2nd quarter of 2012.

Below is a 1-page fact sheet on the compliance needed by January 1, 2013. More information will be forthcoming.
