Lay Pension Reporting


Diocesan canons (Title II, Canon 10) require that every parish fund a lay pension for employees who work at least 1,000 hours a year. Parishes must report their compliance with the Canon on a form provided by the Finance Office. .Pensions must be funded by October 1st, or a parish’s lay delegates will lose their vote at Diocesan Convention, but retain seat and voice.  As of today, September 20th, only about half of the parishes have filed a report.  Please download one of the two formats below and submit your report to the Finance Office as soon as possible.  Pension payments must be verified by attaching a contribution remittance report or similar documentation.
