Finance Office

The Finance Office of the Diocese of Ohio provides information, education and assistance to parishes in a broad range of financial matters. We can assist parishes in these primary areas: compliance with Diocesan and Episcopal Church canons, financial management, financial structure and systems, and regulatory compliance. IRS increases mileage rate

Effective July 1, 2011, the IRS increased the standard mileage rate for business travel to 55.5 cents from 51 cents.  This rate will remain in effect throughout the remainder of the year 2011.  Additional information can be obtained from the notice below.

Below is a spreadsheet showing the status of parish reporting required by canon. Please check back for updates. Contact the Finance office if you have any questions.

As of November 4th, 7 parishes have lay pension reports outstanding.  These forms, on blue paper, have been mailed to parishes twice.  All parishes must complete the form, whether or not they have lay employees, or lay employees participating in a pension plan.  The report was due October 1, 2011.
