Background Checks Available at Discounted Price
The Diocese of Ohio is offering to provide background checks of employees of the church and some volunteers at a discounted price through Intellicorp. These background checks are strongly suggested for local congregations with:
- Paid employees (full- and part-time)
- Nursery workers (paid or volunteer)
- Volunteers who regularly supervise youth activities
- Volunteers who supervise an overnight youth event
- Camp counselors
- Persons having financial responsibility, i.e., posting to ledgers, writing or signing checks. A credit check is also strongly encouraged (requires Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) Disclosure and Release Form)
