You're Invited to the Diocesan-Wide Picnic

Everyone in the Diocese of Ohio is invited to a diocesan-wide picnic in Wakeman, Ohio, on Saturday, June 30, starting at noon. It will also be the ending point of the Bishop's Bike Ride. Share food, fellowship, music, swimming, volleyball, basketball, and more with your fellow Episcopalians from the Diocese of Ohio.
The main course will be provided; each individual or group is encouraged to bring a side dish to share.
As part of the festivities, we will also be celebrating the 25th anniversaries of Bishop Bowman's and Bishop Williams' ordinations to the Episcopate.

2012 Bishop's Bike Ride Needs Riders, SAG Drivers
Ride with us for the 7th Annual Bishop’s Bike Ride. The bike ride is not only great for your health, it is a wonderful community builder as you pedal, break bread, and socialize with other Episcopalians around the diocese. The dates for this year's ride are June 25 (Monday evening) through June 30 (Saturday noon). The change in the usual schedule allows riders and drivers to arrive in Wakeman, Ohio, proposed site of a new Camp and Retreat Center, in time for a diocesan-wide picnic on Saturday. In addition to the picnic, we will be celebrating the 25th anniversaries of Bishop Bowman and Bishop Williams' Episcopal ordinations. If you haven't participated in the Bishop's Bike Ride—as rider, SAG driver, or host—please consider joining this wonderful event. Our route is not completely set, but our tentative plan is to start from Youngstown on Tuesday, June 26, then ride to Canton, Wooster, Gambier, Ashland, and end in Wakeman. The daily rides will again be between 45 and 55 miles, except for the last day, which will be about 30 miles.
Everyone is invited to ride all or part of the Bishop's Bike Ride. You can ride one day or all five days or anything in between. The ride from Ashland to Wakeman is only about 30 miles and flat. So please consider riding that last day, if you'd like to give it a try.

Dr. Damian Mpundu, the Medical Superintendent of St. Raphael’s Hospital of the Anglican Diocese of Tanga, Tanzania will be visiting the Diocese of Ohio to help strengthen the collaborative health partnership between both dioceses. St. Raphael’s is a 60-bed hospital, located in the town of Korogwe, in the Tanga Region. As a Christian institution, the hospital is known for its high level of compassion and care for the sick in the rural community.
