Results from the 195th Convention of the Diocese of Ohio

Convention was held this year at the Marriott Cleveland East with dinner and the Convention Eucharist on Friday night at Trinity Cathedral. Results of elections can be found here.

All eight resolutions passed, including two on the Denominational Health Plan (R-7 and R-8). R-5, which was a resolution Concerning High Volume, Horizontal Hydraulic Fracturing or Fracking, passed with an amendment which can be found here. Convention voted to enter into partnerships with the Dioceses of Belize and Tanga and all canonical changes were approved.

Bishop Jean-Zache Duracin of Haiti addressed Convention on Friday and gave the sermon at the Convention Eucharist. Bishop Hollingsworth's Episcopal Address, in which he reported a year-long exploration into a new camp and retreat center in the diocese, can be found here.
